UC Davis has an increasingly diverse student population. Indeed, in May 2019, UC Davis met the eligibility requirements to be designated as a Hispanic Serving Institution. Diversity brings a wealth of perspectives and leads to more robust problem-solving capabilities, but it can also be challenging for educators to effectively serve all students. This workshop will encourage you to reflect on how someone’s circumstances and background can influence their university learning experience. Participants will learn practical strategies to create a more inclusive classroom.
