In this workshop we will discuss challenges and opportunities instructors and TAs experience when part of a teaching team. We will explore ways to effectively work together to help improve your classes while also fostering TA growth and professional development. We will discuss topics such as building effective communication strategies, establishing shared expectations and boundaries, making the most out of instructor-TA meetings, reducing TA workload and stress, and mentoring future faculty in the early stages of their careers. Participants will leave with resources for structuring instructor-TA conversations and planning a successful quarter.
