Hotel
We are pleased to offer a discounted room rate with two local hotels: Hyatt Place UC Davis, conveniently located on campus and just steps away from the UC Davis Conference Center; and the Hilton Garden Inn located directly in downtown Davis. Please note rooms are based on availability, so please book early to secure your room.

*There are discounted rooms are available at both hotels on the nights of Feb. 10, 11, and 12 to accommodate guests arriving early to attend the UC Assessment Practitioner Pre-Conference Workshop on Feb. 11, as well as guests planning to stay overnight after the Assessment Conference has finished on Feb. 12. Please note that the Hyatt Place has fewer rooms available on the night of Feb. 12.
Flights
UC Davis is located near two international airports - Sacramento International (SMF) and San Francisco International (SFO). Depending on where you are coming from, you will likely fly into one of these airports and then take ground transportation to Davis or Sacramento. There are a number of transportation options from each airport depending on how much money and time you wish to spend, including the Davis Airporter, Lyft, and Uber, or other rideshares and public transit like Yolobus or Amtrak.
When choosing flights, please keep in mind your arrival time, as SMF is typically a 25-45 minute trip to Davis and SFO can take between 2-3 hours depending on the time of day.
Driving Directions
- From 1-80 West (San Francisco)
- - Take I-80 East toward Sacramento.
- Exit the UC Davis exit #71 (just after the HWY 113 interchange).
- Turn left at the stop sign onto Old Davis Road.
- Continue straight past the UC Davis information booth.
- Turn right onto Hilgard Lane (immediately after the Mondavi Food and Wine Institute buildings) and park in either the South Entry Parking Structure or Visitor Parking Lots 1 and 2.
- The UC Davis Conference Center is east of Vanderhoef Quad, directly across the street from the Mondavi Performing Arts Center, at the corner of Old Davis Road and Alumni Lane. - From 1-80 East (Sacramento)
- - Take I-80 West toward San Francisco.
- Exit the UC Davis exit #71 (after the Richards Blvd exit).
- Turn right at the stop sign onto Old Davis Road.
- Continue straight past the UC Davis information booth.
- Turn right onto Hilgard Lane (immediately after the Mondavi Food and Wine Institute buildings) and park in either the South Entry Parking Structure or Visitor Parking Lots 1 and 2.
- The UC Davis Conference Center is east of Vanderhoef Quad, directly across the street from the Mondavi Performing Arts Center, at the corner of Old Davis Road and Alumni Lane. - From 1-5 North (Redding/Woodland)
- - Take I-5 South toward Sacramento.
- Take the HWY 113 South interchange to Davis.
- Exit the UC Davis exit #71 on the interchange.
- Turn left at the stop sign onto Old Davis Road.
- Continue straight past the UC Davis information booth.
- Turn right onto Hilgard Lane (immediately after the Mondavi Food and Wine Institute buildings) and park in either the South Entry Parking Structure or Visitor Parking Lots 1 and 2.

- - Take First Street west towards campus and away from downtown.
- Turn left at Old Davis Road.
- Continue straight past the Hyatt Place Hotel and through the first light.
- Turn left onto Hilgard Lane (immediately after the parking structure) and park in either the South Entry Parking Structure or the Visitor Parking Lots 1 and 2.
- The UC Davis Conference Center is east of Vanderhoef Quad, directly across the street from the Mondavi Performing Arts Center, at the corner of Old Davis Road and Alumni Lane.
Parking
The closest visitor parking lots to the UC Davis Conference Center are the South Entry Parking Structure and the Visitor Parking Lots 1 and 2.
Purchase of a valid UC Davis parking permit is required to park on campus Monday - Friday from 7am - 10pm. Purchase of a parking permit is not required on weekends or University holidays, except during special events when parking attendants are present.

In addition to the AggiePark app, visitors have the option to purchase parking through solar-powered COSMO permit dispensers. To purchase and print a permit using one of these machines, you will need to provide your license plate number.
UC Davis visitor permits are not valid in restricted spaces, loading zones, red zones, center core, and reserved areas. - Disabled Parking
- Visitors with a disabled placard/plate may park without displaying an additional UC Davis parking permit in spaces where UC Davis DSA permits are honored. Bike Parking
Bike parking is available around Vanderhoef Quad, located directly across the street from the UC Davis Conference Center. Bicycles are not permitted in the building and should be parked in designated bike parking areas. More information regarding bike parking can be found on the UC Davis Transportation Services website.
Public Transportation
- Train
- Amtrak is the National Railroad Passenger Corporation train network. Amtrak's "Capitol Corridor" line stops at the train station in Downtown Davis. The UC Davis Conference Center is approximately 1 mile away from the Davis train station, making it accessible by driving, by biking, by walking, and by the UC Davis ASUCD run bus system, Unitrans.
Driving, biking, and walking directions can be found by entering the UC Davis Conference Center's address, 550 Alumni Lane, Davis, CA 95616, into your own GPS or by using Google Maps with the address inputted.
The Unitrans A, B, and O lines will take you from the train station to either the UC Davis Memorial Union Bus Terminal or the UC Davis Silo Bus Terminal where you can walk or bike to the UC Davis Conference Center. More information regarding Unitrans, including the system map and fares, can be found on the Unitrans website. - Bus from the West (Dixon, Vacaville, Fairfield, Benecia and the Pleasant Hill Area)
- FAST's Solano Express is Solano County's public transit system. The Solano Express Blue Line is a bus route that operates between Pleasant Hill BART and Sacramento. The Solano Express Blue Line stops at the UC Davis Silo Bus Terminal where you can walk or bike to the UC Davis Conference Center. - Bus from the East (Sacramento)
- The Causeway Connection is an intercampus shuttle chartered by UC Davis that operates between the Davis Campus, downtown Sacramento and UC Davis Health. The Causeway Connection stops in front of the Mondavi Center, directly across the street from the UC Davis Conference Center for easy access. - Bus from the North (Woodland and the Sacramento International Airport)
- Yolobus is Yolo County's public transit system. Yolobus routes 42A and 42B are intercity bus loops that operate from downtown Sacramento, through West Sacramento, Davis, Woodland, Sacramento International Airport, back to downtown Sacramento. Both routes stop at the UC Davis Memorial Union Bus Terminal where you can walk or bike to the UC Davis Conference Center. - Bus from within Davis
- Unitrans is Davis' public transit system run by UC Davis' ASUCD. All Unitrans lines take you to either the UC Davis Memorial Union Bus Terminal or the UC Davis Silo Bus Terminal where you can walk or bike to the UC Davis Conference Center.
