Thank you to all who joined us for the 2025 UC Professors of Teaching Conference on June 20-21, 2025, hosted by the Center for Educational Effectiveness at UC Davis. The conference brought together the Tenure Track Teaching Professor Network (T3PN), a community of Professors of Teaching (PoTs) across all campuses in the University of California system, from all fields of study. The 2025 conference theme was "Navigating the Shifting Landscape of Higher Education." 
 

Goals of the Tenure Track Teaching Professor Network community

  • Facilitate collaborations on teaching, educational programming, curricular design, and pedagogical research
  • Develop leadership capacities in equity, diversity, and inclusion initiatives related to education
  • Establish formal mentorship structures among Professors of Teaching
  • Provide opportunities to disseminate accomplishments
  • Advocate for the Professors of Teaching position across multiple levels of the UC system
     

Activities and accomplishments of the Tenure Track Teaching Professor Network

  •  NSF-funded research and peer-reviewed literature on the role of Professors of Teaching in curricular development, institutional change, and undergraduate student success
  • A system-wide Professors of Teaching mentoring program (run by UC Davis Professor of Teaching Marina Ellefson)
  • Annual meetings supporting networking, research dissemination, and campus- and system-level advocacy for Professors of Teaching hiring and career development
