Many academics are asked to write recommendation letters or letters of reference for colleagues and mentees. While these high-stakes documents are integral to a competitive dossier, few academics have received formal training on how to write these letters. Facilitated by the Director of the UC Davis Writing Center, Dr. Erica Cirillo McCarthy, this workshop will give participants guidance for writing letters that shine. UC Davis staff, postdocs, and graduate students are also welcome to attend this faculty workshop.
