Join us for an engaging discussion of Relatable Role Models: An Online Intervention Highlighting First-Generation Faculty Benefits First-Generation Students. In this session, we’ll explore how first-generation faculty can serve as role models, both in the classroom and in research, to foster mentorship, academic success, and a sense of belonging for first-generation students. We'll also discuss strategies to support these students in their research journeys, helping them navigate challenges and find success in both their studies and scholarly pursuits. Together, we’ll share ideas on integrating these insights into our teaching, mentoring, and research practices to better support all students.
