My name is Jeff Nichols, and I'm a PhD Candidate in Applied Math, studying the dynamics of non-Newtonian fluids.  I've been a TA throughout grad school, and taught a few summer classes, which has been a highlight of my experience at UC Davis.  I've been very lucky to have the opportunity to try out several active learning and ungrading strategies with the aim of creating inclusive classrooms that work well for all types of students.  I'm aiming for a teaching career, and plan to continue trying out new strategies and developing my skills with every class I teach.  Outside of work, I love doing acrobatic yoga, triathlons, and generally adventuring in the outdoors. Feel free to check out my personal webpage to learn more!
