Bio

I'm Nicole W. Korzeniecki, a 5th year PhD Candidate in the Animal Behavior Graduate Group. I study how the coordination of social behaviors, physiological mechanisms, and genetics prevents the acquisition and spread of pathogens in highly social groups, such as termite colonies. I have been a TA since the first year of my PhD, teaching NPB 101D Systemic Physiology Discussion and NPB 100 Neurobiology. As a TAC, I want to encourage and help my fellow TAs enact successful teaching practices and foster a learning environment that will support their students' academic pursuits. When I am not teaching or looking at insects, I enjoy going to bar trivia, traveling, and playing with my cats.
