Associate Director of Graduate Student and Postdoc Programs
Amy Forester, EdD, MFA, is the Associate Director of Graduate Student and Postdoc Programs in Center for Educational Effectiveness. She is the program director for the Teaching Assistant Consultants program, providing teaching professional development and leadership opportunities for graduate students in the TAC, Graduate Teaching Community, and to the broader teaching assistant community at Davis. She teaches Seminar on College Teaching and facilitates teaching and learning events for postdocs. She serves on the Graduate, Professional, and Postdoc Development committee in the POD Network. Amy has a doctorate in Educational Leadership from Portland State University, and her research focuses on the curriculum and organizational contexts of STEM future faculty programs. Amy was previously the designer and program manager of Training Future Faculty, a pedagogical professional development program for graduate students and postdocs at Oregon Health & Science University. Before that, she was a community college English and writing instructor.
Outside of work, Amy enjoys hiking and swimming with her wife and kids, listening to podcasts, cooking vegan food, and adventuring around California.
