Event Date
Nearly two years after it was first introduced, Open AI’s ChatGPT, as well as other AI products, exerts a growing influence on the way teaching and learning are done on today’s college campuses. Instructors play a key role in helping students understand the affordances and limitations of Generative Artificial Intelligence (GenAI), yet higher education’s understanding of best practices for promoting learning using GenAI is still developing. In this hands-on workshop facilitated by Dr. Patricia Turner (CEE), instructors will discuss perspectives around GenAI in teaching and learning and reflect on their own views of GenAI, with an eye to developing a statement articulating their own evolving philosophies and approaches to the use of GenAI in their classes. This workshop will be held on Zoom, and is open to both faculty and graduate students.
