Promoting a sense of belonging in the classroom has been shown to increase student success. In this workshop, we will discuss strategies we can use to make our courses more inclusive, from simple changes to a slide on your first day of class, to ways to increase instructor immediacy and promote a collaborative environment. The session will focus on STEM classrooms; however, these strategies can be applied across the disciplines. This workshop is open to UC Davis faculty.
