Research has shown that the way we design course assignments can significantly impact student learning. In this interactive workshop, Dr. Patricia Turner (CEE) will provide opportunities for participants to explore a four-part framework for designing transparent course assignments that support student learning, increase the quality of student work, and create equitable outcomes. Participants will look at “before” and “after” versions of assignments to see how transparency can be built into assignment design. All who attend are encouraged to bring their own course assignment to discuss with colleagues during this hands-on remote workshop.
