Lead Programmer
Matthew Steinwachs (he/him) is the Lead Programmer in the Center for Educational Effectiveness (CEE) in the Office of Undergraduate Education. At CEE, he develops web applications, data visualizations, and reports to support education research, program and course assessment, and reflective teaching. Some of the web applications he has developed for educational analytics and research include Know Your Students, GORP, and The Ribbon Tool. He has worked with institutional data at UC Davis for over a decade and is always happy to consult with faculty, staff and others regarding data requests, surveys, and research.
Education and Background
Matthew is a First-Generation college student who earned a B.S. in Computer Science from California State University, Sacramento.
Hobbies and Interests
Matthew plays the drums and synthesizers. He competes regularly in the sport of olympic weightlifting.
