Effective Class Assessments with Transparent Design

Workshop Description

Unclear assignments can obscure how and why students are learning in the classroom, which can impact student motivation and progress toward course outcomes. In this interactive workshop, participants will learn how transparency in assessment design can both alleviate student stress and improve assessment validity. You will be introduced to the Transparency in Learning and Teaching (TILT) framework and begin thinking about how to implement transparency-oriented strategies in your teaching and assessment.
