Position Title
Associate Director of Digital Scholarship
Welcome and Willkommen! Feli Hartung is the Associate Director of Digital Scholarship in the Center for Educational Effectiveness (CEE) in the Office of Undergraduate Education. At CEE, Feli focuses on supporting instructors in designing accessible and inclusive courses, building effective online courses that foster engagement, and helping instructors navigate the challenges and affordances of Generative AI (GenAI) in their classrooms.
Before joining UC Davis, Feli built experience in teaching and educational development across Germany and the United States. After completing her teacher training in Germany, she earned a Ph.D. in History from the University of California, San Diego, where she supported teaching and writing initiatives for graduate students and instructors. Most recently, at the University of Georgia, she worked with faculty and graduate students to advance active learning, foster classroom community, and thoughtfully integrate GenAI into teaching and assessment.
One of Feli’s favorite parts of her work is connecting with instructors across campus and supporting them as they grow and experiment in their teaching. She is happy to offer consultations in both English and German.
When Feli is not at CEE, you’ll likely find her outdoors with her family – hiking, running, or exploring the many beautiful corners of Northern California.
