Executive Director, Teaching & Learning and STEM Initiatives
Beth brings a powerful mix of campus insight, strategic leadership, and a deep commitment to inclusive excellence. Beth served as the leader of the STEM Strategies unit where she has spent the last decade designing and leading cross-campus initiatives that connect students, faculty, and programs in meaningful ways—breaking down silos and expanding access to opportunity. From launching the UC Davis STEM Strategy Unit and STEM Portal to creating the Avenue model and region-wide K–16 partnerships, Beth has a strong track record of turning bold ideas into scalable, high-impact programs.
Before joining UC Davis, Beth led statewide education and workforce efforts in Arizona as Manager of STEM Initiatives at the Science Foundation Arizona, where she built the Arizona STEM Network and secured $7.5 million in funding for this vision. Her earlier work as an independent consultant included strategic planning, program design, and advising nonprofits and local governments—ranging from boosting voter engagement to helping organizations through major transitions. She also helped lead a comprehensive anti-poverty initiative early in her career, focused on housing stability and employment.
Beth’s experience spans education, public policy, workforce development, and nonprofit leadership, and throughout it all, she’s been a strong advocate for innovation, collaboration, and equity. She excels at bringing people together, moving ideas forward, and supporting team growth.
