Test Scoring and Gradescope Scanning
The Center for Educational Effectiveness (CEE) offers Scantron test scoring and scanning for Gradescope services for UC Davis instructors. To provide timely support and ensure equipment is available, services are offered by appointment.
Appointment Information
- Location: 1313 The Grove
- Appointment length: Most Scantron scoring sessions take approximately 25–30 minutes when materials are prepared in advance.

Multiple-Choice Test Scoring Options
CEE offers two options for grading multiple-choice exams using UCD Scantron Form 2000. Choose the option that best meets your grading and reporting needs.
Computer-Assisted Test Scoring
Computer-assisted scoring uses test-scoring software to process multiple-choice exams and provide a detailed analysis of exam questions. This option also generates a spreadsheet that can be used to import grades into Canvas.

Stand-Alone Machine Scoring
The stand-alone grading machine allows instructors to mark incorrect answers directly on students’ Scantron forms.

- How do I make an appointment?
Submit the appointment request form or email [email protected] at least one to two business days in advance.
Include your preferred appointment date and time, the service you need, and the total number of Scantrons you plan to score. You will receive a confirmation email with additional instructions.
- Where can I purchase Scantron forms?
- UCD Scantron Form 2000 is available at the Campus Store, the Silo Market, and the vending machine in Olson Hall.
