Bio

Greetings! My name is Daisy. This will be my third year in the TAC program. Highlights of my time in the program include developing workshops around group work, active learning, and equitable syllabus design. Yet, I also loved consulting with our wonderful graduate community to assist them with their pedagogical knowledge and job market materials.

I'm a fourth-year Ph.D. student in Philosophy with a Science & Technology Studies DE. My research tackles the question of what is socially responsible science. Currently, I am working through the case study of embodied trauma, the empirical evidence which supports it, and the scientific communication therein to understand the case study's potential implication on what socially responsible science looks like and how best to communicate said science given the complex conceptual landscape shared between scientists and the public.

In my downtime, I am either learning to cook (unsuccessfully), people-watching, or attempting to cure my last book hangover.
