My name is Julian Haddad and I am an educator, musician, and researcher. I fell in love with undergraduate education in 2016 when I began TA-ing for the Making of the Modern World Program at UCSD while obtaining my master’s degree. Leading discussion sections where students encountered the political philosophies and spiritual traditions that have shaped the world was always the highlight of my week. So, I opted to stay at UCSD upon graduation as a full-time TA and part-time lecturer until 2021, when I began to pursue Ph.D in Political Science here at UC Davis. 

As a researcher, I investigate what relationship exists between political institutions and economic outcomes. You’ll often find me playing music, as well, as I am an avid guitar player, singer, songwriter, and aspiring multi-instrumentalist.
