A Matrix-Approach to Creating Intentional Alignment: From Outcomes to Opportunities-to-Learn

In this hands-on workshop, participants will reflect on, and practice applying, the principle of alignment to promote transparency of expectations for student learning. Participants should bring current course materials (e.g., syllabus, assignment guidelines, assessment tools), highlighters, and a spirit of adventure.

Assessment Symposium Monthly Meeting

Undergraduate Education invites campus partners to engage in reflection and inquiry about student learning outcomes assessment and its vital role in creating educational effectiveness. Each meeting will feature a focal mini-presentation about current learning outcomes assessment efforts, followed by lightly-facilitated discussion. The symposium series create opportunities for faculty, staff, and administrators to learn from each other through collaborative conversations. Light lunch will be provided.
